Experiencing God's Love Part 1

Experiencing God’s Love Part 1:
by Manuel Fernandez

Everyone in world desires to be loved in one way or another, either by friendship or by a lifelong companion. Hopefully, if you are seeking a lifelong marriage you will also be seeking a friend. Friendship, I believe is the most important aspect of a marital relationship. The Bible says:

John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

In order to ever experience true love you must first start with knowing how much God loves you. You can never experience real love without God. Why? It’s because God is pure love. And I’m not just talking about anything we could feel, God has a love for us we could never know.

Jesus said we are his friends, and that He loves us! The Greek word used here is Agape. The word Agape incorporates all aspects of what we know of love and puts it into one word. It involves an undying love for his creation. But why did he say “…that a man (or woman) lay down his life for his friends”.

Well its simple, Jesus died for us that we might believe on him and experience that love by knowing 100% sure without a doubt we could have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

If we believe on Jesus Christ, we can have eternal life—and know it!

We must know that God loves the world. That is all the people in the world, with all the love Jesus was talking about.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Here’s that word again. He uses AGAPAO. Same meaning imposed here.

• God loved everyone in the World
• Jesus loved his friends

• God gave his only son that we might live
• Jesus (the son) died for his friends

Since Jesus is God, and He loved us so much that He would die for us, He wants us to experience that love.

Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

1 John 4:9 - "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him."

Christ died for our sins. All of us are sinners, and we deserve to go to hell for those sins.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

You will see things in a different light when you know true love from God.

Congratulations! You are now my Brother/ Sister in Christ. You are now ready for a Christian relationship.

The basis of our existence in life is understanding the fact that God loves us and that nothing can separate us from His love. If we understand this fact a lot of the rejection problems in the society will be solved. Wonderful article.
