Pres Candidate Dr. Laurie Roth...What do you think?
Dr. Laurie Roth

I am running on the Platform of ‘R. E. A. L.’:

Responsive Government

Excellence in the Executive Office

American Exceptionalism

Legislative Transparency and Accountability

These are the guts of my core beliefs:

Life: Our Declaration of Independence says it best. First in line is ‘life’ ‘Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.’ We can argue, scream and yell about everything else, but life and the right to have it is where we start. Life is not to be compartmentalized and negotiated away, hiding behind ‘choice’, ‘women’s rights’, ‘Government not on my body’ Young life in the womb, middle aged life, and older life is ALL LIFE and to be protected and treasured. If life for all was good enough for the Great Ronald Reagan, Our Declaration of Independence and God Himself…..it is good enough for me.

Freedom: Freedom is a gift granted to all by the living God of the Holy Bible, not loaned out by Governments or leaders. It is to be cherished and protected not traded or redefined by global elites, international organizations or self imposed religious zealots. America has always been a light on a hill, lifting up real freedom and hope to the world. We must cherish it, protect it and fight for it when necessary.

Property rights: We as a free country and society are entitled to the fruit of our labor and owning our own property without intrusion. The last few years there have been more and more pushes to not only steal great swaths of millions of acres in the name of animal and nature rights, but micro manage and control what we do on our land.

There are people who want to control, where and how we grow, what we cut, where we hunt, where we drive through, how much water we use, what national parks we can walk through with a gun etc… Its called, regulation and control h*ll.

50-100 people run for President each year…
Why Laurie Roth?

**I have a strong and bold vision to bring America back and make her a light on a hill again.

**I will stop talking about border security and get it done.

**I will create a liberating tax shift away from all tax except 2% consumption tax.

**I will restore and protect Judeo Christian values.

**I will build up and create energy independence within the first 4 years.

**I will stand against radical Islam and Sharia law abuse.

**I will create millions of jobs via, energy infrastructure, road and bridge projects in all 50 states, border, ICE and port of entry jobs, support the creation of private enterprise jobs and business by peeling back regulations, taxation and litigation.

**I will get America completely out of debt within 4-5 years.

**I will restore our international reputation and strength again.

**I will restore and refund NASA and make it the lead again in research and exploration in space.

**I will protect life and play fair ball with all Americans, young and old.

**I will explore and find ways to really improve Health care, via portability and torte reform. We will do this while protecting capitalism, competition and personal freedom regarding health care.

**I will crush and destroy the Obama care Health care bill that has been ruled by several Judges to be totally unconstitutional. Obama wants this forced health care program to be run by the dreaded IRS. Does that make you feel healthier? I didn’t think so.

I am no quitter!
**I did not quit but started again after I was a victim of crime in the music business and went bankrupt in 1995.

**I didn’t quit and started again after I was nearly killed in my motorcycle wreck in 2005, had severe brain injuries, no health insurance, my show was cancelled and was yesterdays news. I brought my life, health and radio career back with no outside help, other than hard work, vision and God.

**I have not quit my husband and marriage of 11 years with Rich. When I couldn’t have any children, and I tried and tried to get pregnant, did invitro, had surgery on my Uterus and even artificial insemination and still couldn’t get pregnant, we foster adopted our two children, Wayne and Mo from needy and desperate homes.

**I would not quit on America either. I don’t want us to just survive and fix our problems….I want us to excel and shine greatly again before God and the world.

Together we can get this done. I am a real person with a big vision, big heart and big courage with God’s help. I am not a politician, lawyer or millionaire. It has always been for the People, of the people and by the people. Let’s bring it on!

Tune into my daily national radio show each day from 3-6pm PST. You can listen online if my show isn’t in your market yet at www.therothshow.com.

I guess she's serious but no one else is serious about her. too bad. She's got a lot of good and needful stuff in her platform.

Freedom: Freedom is a gift granted to all by the living God of the Holy Bible, not loaned out by Governments or leaders.

This CONSTITUTION, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the SUPREME LAW OF THE LAND; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding. Article VI, U.S. Constitution.

There is NO mention of the Bible in the U.S. Constitution...(or the Declaration of Independance either... which is a document of Deism, not Christianity...but I digress).

Questions:
1) Which version of the Bible does she intend to use? The standard "Protestant" Old and New Testament Bible? The Jewish Old Testament only? The Catholic version and/or Orthodox version (with "extra books")...or perhaps one of the Oriental Orthodox versions?
2) Would that be King Jimmy only...or will we be allowed to refer to other translations?
3) Will we need a new governmental agency...Dept of the Bible? Or will the Justices of the Supreme Court make the decisions on the Bible and it's application to government?
Dept of the Bible or Supreme Court...either way...no matter who interprets the Bible for gov't...how can we justify that in light of the rest of Article VI?

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but NO RELIGIOUS TEST SHALL EVER BE REQUIRED as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Wouldn't "rightly dividing the Word of Truth" be a "religious test"?

Where does the Bible say that? Can anyone tell me WHERE the Bible says THAT? Can anyone out there give me ONE scriptural reference (in context) that testifies to that?
Compare:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (Amendment 1)
and
No religious test shall ever be required...(Art. VI)
to:
"You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

God commands us to worship him and him alone...but gives us free will to do otherwise. The Constitution supports free will but does not seek to impose any religion on anyone.

Does this woman intend to allow freedom to those who do not agree with her on religious matters? No. (I looked her up).

The Bible was written in, of, by and for the church...with no mention whatsoever of American gov't in there. For matters pertaing to religion, I refer to the Bible. For matters pertaining to politics and gov't, I believe we would be best suited to adhere to the Constitution.

Nick, you are smart enough to figure it all out.

Or,... ask one question at a time...you know?

You asked what I thought. If you don't want to know, don't ask. I could (and might) keep going...but I can sum this up for you if you wish: NO! to Roth!

(Is there anyone running for President who has even heard of the Constitution?)

Well... I did not ask specifically what YOU thought. I would never do that ...because I have come to know you as the most parochial, short-sighted, immature, and scattered thinker I have ever come across at RCS.

I make a polite request of you:
Please, in the future, do not embarrass yourself by commenting on my posts....even this one. But I do offer to mentor you via PM's.

I didn't see the part about "Anyone but Nick457 please tell me what you think..."
Ask a question in a public forum and expect an answer from anyone in the public...

Critical thinking skills are a bit much for you aren't they? It must be a real bummer for you when someone like me applies logic and reason to your drivel...as opposed to gobbling it all up simply because you're sooooo wise from age.

No thanks...if I want to rot my brain I'll just watch the Jerry Springer marathon...It'll make more sense than you!

Does this mean that she intends to "privatize" Federal lands (national forests, BLM land)? Sell it all to the the highest bidder, take government's cut (give you a pittance), increase gov't spending (that will not be reduced when land is all sold thus neccessatating a tax increase) and remove virtually all access to hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and other outdoor activity for the average American? If you think that access to land will remain cheap and easy under total privatization, you are severely deluded and the track record speaks to the contrary. Look it up.

Does that mean that the farmer down the road...the one with multiple tractors, combines and other implements can dump the oil wherever he pleases when he does maintanence on his equipment? (Never mind the watershed....it's his land and heaven forbid we subject him to "regulation h*ll".)

I suppose that would also mean that Colorado can suck all the water they want out of the ground, rivers and streams before it works it's way to Kansas. Oh well, we didn't need to grow all these crops anyway...I suppose we can get by well enough eating dirt.

Now...if what she's referring to is the absolute silliness of treating an industrial size milk spill in a dairy the same as an oil spill...I'm with her. Perhaps she needs to elaborate a wee bit more on this subject?

Does she intend to include Orthodox and/or Catholic in there? Or does she only refer to 1 or more flavors of Protestant?

Sounds a lot like the New Deal that put us on the road to Socialism to begin with...

And how will those workers be paid? In other words...I will expand the size of government (which does not produce any revenue generating goods) and I give no plans to reduce the size of already existing, bloated gov't.

I do wish she would give some specific examples of what regulations and litigations she intends to "peel back".

From her website:
Quote:
Our long standing Judeo Christian values and heritage define Marriage between a Man and women. In fact, every culture on earth does. Many of our states have fought the battle of how to define marriage and most states have voted that Marriage is between a Man and a women, not between LBGTQ folks. This is an ongoing battle, but for the sake of our moral traditions, our children and Judeo Christian values, we must fight to keep Marriage between a man and a woman. We must not go down this slippery slope, LBGTQ marriage, polygamist marriage….perhaps marriage with animals??? Where does it stop? It would render Marriage meaningless eventually.

1) The last time I read my Bible (today)...it seemed to condone polygamy. One could get that impression anyway...

2) What's the "Q" stand for in her quote? "Queer"? Not very diplomatic if you ask my opinion...

3) "...every culture on earth does...?"
a) She should sign up for a Sociology class...(just saying).
b) Even if that was the case...Yeah? So? Before us...can you think of any country that was founded on the principles of individual rights, liberties and freedoms? Gov't of the people, by the people and for the people? Gov't existing for the people as opposed to the people for the gov't? This country was founded on liberty...not tyranny. If we were to "go with the flow" and conform to the world across the board...kiss the free country good-bye!

Let me be clear...Homosexual anything is immoral in my belief system (Orthodox Christian). But allowing people the right to sin is not compelling them to sin. (So long as they are allowed the "righteous option"...If you don't like gay marriage don't get yourself into one...). I don't care if gay whatever is legal or not in regards to my personal behavior...I'm not going to do it. 1) I'm heterosexual (I suppose homosexual would be a prerequisite) 2) I'm Orthodox! But bottom line...I can not and I will not even attempt to defend homosexuality from a moral point of view...That said...if you have a convincing, compelling CONSTITUTIONAL argument against the legality of homosexuality...by all means, put it on the table! I'd really like to hear it...(esp. since I can't come up with one myself).
